The problem arose when the giant air vehicle was about to land. Instead of remaining flat with its rear it nose-dived into the ground and “… experienced a heavy landing” according to HAV.
The two pilots flying the blimp along with the ground crew involved in the test are said to be safe, and the airship has been taken to its normal location for “a robust set of procedures for flight test activities and investigation of issues” over the coming days.
Airlander 10, which is the world’s largest air vehicle made by Hybrid Air Vehicles (HAV) crashed during landing on its second test flight. Fortunately, no one was hurt in the accident, but the airship did suffer some damage to its flight deck underneath the massive hull.
Last week the world saw Airlander 10 successfully complete its maiden flight, and make a trip around Cardington Airfield in the UK. On the day of the accident, Airlander also took flight and stayed airborne for over 100 minutes without any problems.

The massive Airlander 10 airship has dimensions of 92 x 43.5 x 26 m (302 x 143 x 85 ft). It is quite powerful as it is capable of carrying payloads up to 10,000 kg (22,050 lb). As it is constructed using helium-filled hull, it easily floats away and can be moved forward and manoeuvred using the four 325-hp (242-kW), turbocharged diesel engines.Pic Credits: inhabitat

The company says that after the tests and investigation they will come out with more details on the reasons for this crash, and the adjustments they are making looking to avoid this in the future.

He was the son of Alphonse Frankenstein and Caroline Beaufort, who died of scarlet fever when Frankenstein was 17. He describes his ancestry thus: "I am by birth a Genevese; and my family is one of the most distinguished of that republic. My ancestors had been for many years counsellors and syndics; and my father had filled several public situations with honour and reputation." Frankenstein has two younger brothers—William, the youngest, and Ernest, the middle child. Frankenstein falls in love with Elizabeth Lavenza, who became his adoptive sister (his blood cousin in the 1818 edition) and, eventually, his fiancée. Joc-O-Sot/Walking Bear (1810-1844) gravestone Joc-O-Sot was of the band Bear, tribe Osauckee of the Algonquin nation, according to the memorial marker, but was he a Sauk? Perhaps a Sauk is of the Osauckee. But was he the chief of the Meskwaki/Fox tribe? The Sauks and Meskwaki were closely allied and fought together in the Black Hawk War of 1831/1832, where Joc-O-Sot was wounded. After the war he came to Cleveland, working as a fishing and hunting guide. He later toured with a theatrical troupe run by Dan Marble, which supposedly showed Native American life. Traveling in England, he performed for Queen Victoria, who was impressed enough to commission a portrait of him. Joc-O-Sot became ill and returned to the United States, apparently wanting to return to his homeland (he was born in Iowa, but his people may have been buried in Wisconsin of Minnesota). He made it to Cleveland before he died, and was buried in the Erie Street Cemetery. It is reported that vandals da...
